Dr. Chrissie Chung
Dr. Chrissie Chung is presently the owner of Erindale Animal Hospital. She was born is Seoul, South Korea. In South Korea, she owned Chung Sol Animal Hospital, but later decided to travel abroad and eventually moved to Canada where she achieved the Canadian Veterinary License (2009.) She is currently a member of CVMA, OVMA and KVMA. She has extensive experience in performing various types of surgeries and of the different sub-areas, she has a strong interest in the senior pet healthcare and dermatology.
Dr. Chung's grandparents owned an animal farm, which is where her love for animal and passion to become a veterinarian flourished. She graduated from Veterinary Medicine and achieved vet license (1999).
Outside the animal hospital, she enjoys traveling, watching movies, exploring different pockets in Toronto, and spending time with her two lovely children, Terrance and Kylie, and her husband Patrick. Dr. Chung also take great pleasure in taking care of her pets: 11 year old cat "Lucy", 10 year old Yorkie "Ticy" and 2 year old ShihPoo "Dusty".
Dr. Monika Ronowicz
Dr. Monika Ronowicz knew very early on that she wanted to be a Veterinarian, and at a very young age she was surrounded with animals both small and large. Fulfilling her dream she graduated from the Agriculture University Department of Veterinary Medicine in Wroclaw, Poland in 1996. She obtained her licence to practice veterinary medicine in Ontario in 2006.
She worked at Applewood Veterinary Hospital for 15 years. She continues to practice small animal medicine as a locum Veterinarian at many Veterinary Hospitals in the GTA. She’s had the pleasure of working with small animals providing preventive care and surgeries. Dr. Ronowicz enjoys all aspects of small animal medicine, but her special interests are internal medicine and geriatric animal care.
While attending continuing education seminars and conferences, she keeps abreast of emerging information as well as techniques in small animal medicine. Outside of her work she loves walking her dog named Bibi, who is a Chorkie and is extremely energetic. Also she has a 13yr old rescue cat named Kama who loves sun tanning in the backyard. In her spare time she enjoys hiking at Conservation parks, reading a book, or simply just relaxing with family and friends.
Amy graduated from Centennial College and became a certified Medical Lab Technician in 2009. She also has her BSc. in Applied Microbiology from the University of Toronto and has previously worked at University of Waterloo (Aquatic Toxicology Ecosystem Remediation Laboratory) and Environment Canada (Canada Center for Inland Water). She currently has a 12 year old Yorkie named Jojo and a six year old rescue Beagle named Jasper, and had many hamsters, birds, and fish previously. She loves animals, travelling and trying out all types of cuisines.
Clarisa graduated from the University of Guelph with a Bachelor of Science, Honours in Animal Biology and a minor in Nutrition. She is currently attending the Ontario Veterinary College and is in the graduating class of 2020. In her pursuit of becoming a veterinarian, she joined our team as a volunteer 2013 before becoming one of our valued staff. She has a passion for animals, and in her downtime, loves to go camping and travel.
Christine graduated from Medical Administration, then joined the team due to her passion for animals. She has three lovely Chihuahuas and two adorable Toy Poodles at home. Volunteering in a long term care facility has also given her the desired to help and show sympathy for those in need.
